Jojoba oil benefits: Jojoba oil is the only oil that matches the skins natural oil, known as sebum. In fact, it is almost identical to sebum! Jojoba oil is actually a wax, which is why it has this consistency. If you have used jojoba oil before then you know how NOT oily this oil actually is- it's borderline contradictory. It offers such a lightweight moisture, while also being incredibly nourishing and moisturizing. This makes it an excellent oil for all skin types. Jojoba oil is not a PUFA oil, either.
Jojoba oil is also very nutrient dense, full of vitamin A, B Complex, vitamin C, E, K, Selenium, Zinc and Sulfur. It promotes youthful skin (has many anti-aging properties, but we don't love the term anti-aging- aging is a gift! however, that doesn't mean we can't do it with radiant and youthful skin!).
Jojoba oil offers protection from free radicals, is anti-inflammatory, and boosts collagen production (coming back to that youthful-skin-property benefits!).
Frankincense oil benefits: great for cleansing the skin, anti-aging, moisturizing, amazing for dry skin, sensitive skin, aids in smoothing texture, as well as brightening dark spots and scars.
Tea tree oil benefits: great for breakouts, prevention of breakouts and overall cleansing of skin and pores! Who doesn't love that?
Myrrh oil benefits: amazing essential oil for soothing, nourishing and moisturizing the skin,. also great for texture and brightening spots and scars. contains youthful properties, as well!
PUFA: polyunsaturated oils that break down skins tissue through oxidation. triggered by light/sunlight. ingesting and applying PUFA oils to the skin causes aging, dark spots, and more. so this is something we want to avoid! PUFA oils include things like: seed and nut oils, canola oil, safflower oil, etc.
